Communications Officer, Podcast - deadline 15 September

WIFP Podcast communications officer

The Women in Foreign Policy podcast has been bringing insightful career interviews with women working in foreign policy and related fields to its listeners for a year, and the team is now expanding.

We are looking for a communications officer to work closely with the existing team and in particular the executive producer to communicate about the podcast both internally to other teams and externally to our audience.  This is a marketing and communications role dedicated to the podcast.

Our podcast is intentional in its pursuit of wisdom and advice from women of all backgrounds and experiences.  We strive to ensure that all listeners, particularly those from an underrepresented background who don’t see themselves reflected in the make-up of the foreign policy workforce enough, get introduced to role models they can identify with. This includes people of color, LGBTQIA+ people, people with disabilities, and people from underrepresented socioeconomic classes. A great way to diversify the women we interview is to diversify the staff building out the content and therefore people from all of the above groups are strongly encouraged to apply.

We are looking for a communications officer for podcast-centric marketing and communications duties. The position sits within the podcast team and reports to Ashley Pratt, executive producer, overseen by Lucie Goulet.
