Women in Foreign Policy stopped publishing new content in July 2022 however, we are keeping our archived content up as a resource for anyone who wishes to go in the field.

Our mission: achieve a foreign policy workforce fully representative of contemporary society by providing you with the support and access you need for a successful career in the field

Today in much of the Global North, foreign policy professionals are very pale, male, stale (and Yale!). This means that roughly 50% of the population, who get just as affected, if not more, by the foreign policy decisions taken, don’t get a say: womxn.

Women in Foreign Policy worked to change this. Between 2014 and 2022, we reached over 500,000 womxn across the globe and provided them with the support and access they needed for a successful career in the field.

Our community made global strides in foreign policy, acing interviews using advice from our interviewees, building their personal network during our sold-out events or applying to their dream jobs they could only find in our newsletter.

HOW WE CREATE CHANGE

Role Models

Women in Foreign Policy role models

It’s hard to become what you can’t see. We feature amazing and inspiring womxn in foreign policy to prove to everyone out there that they have a seat at the table and a future in decision making.

Intersectionality

Intersectionality foreign policy

We are intersectional by nature. Across our media, we make a point to feature womxn from different races, sexual orientations, disabilities and backgrounds. Our team of volunteers looks like the foreign policy workforce we want to achieve.

Impartiality

We are apolitical

WIFP doesn’t hold any political affiliation. We believe equality of genders, races, religions, abilities and backgrounds is a non-partisan issue.
