Esli Chan is a graduate student who is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Risk Analysis at Kings College London. She holds a Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from McGill University. Esli has worked for the Canadian federal public service and is originally from Vancouver, Canada.

She is passionate about immigration and women in international security, and has participated in discussions at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women.

Esli is excited to be the co-editor of The Zig Zag and to work towards highlighting the research and experiences of diverse women. She hopes to provide a platform that is accessible, relatable, and provides practical career advice for readers.
